Planning shop fit-out contractor in Manama
Manama is the centre of Bahrain’s events market and the home of The Concept’s office. The kingdom hosts major exhibitions, the Formula 1 race weekend, banking and government forums, and frequent hotel events, all within a short drive.
Main venues
- Exhibition World Bahrain (Sakhir): The kingdom’s largest exhibition and convention centre, used for major trade shows.
- Bahrain International Circuit: Home of the Bahrain Grand Prix and a venue for hospitality, launches and outdoor events.
- Bahrain National Theatre and the major hotels: Used for ceremonies, gala dinners and conferences.
Permits and approvals
- Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA): Licenses exhibitions, conferences and events.
- Ministry of Interior – General Directorate of Civil Defence: Fire-safety approval for stands, stages and temporary structures.
- Municipal authorities: Outdoor signage and use of public spaces.
Logistics
- Khalifa Bin Salman Port handles sea freight, and Bahrain International Airport handles air cargo.
- The King Fahd Causeway links Bahrain with Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, so stands and crews can move by road to Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran.
- Distances on the island are short, which keeps delivery and crew travel times low.
- Summer heat limits daytime outdoor work, so outdoor events and builds favour the cooler months.
Typical stand and space sizes
Shell-scheme units usually start at 9 m² (3×3 m); space-only plot sizes vary by show and are set by each organiser’s floor plan. In our experience, space-only stands at Exhibition World Bahrain commonly range from 18 m² to several hundred square metres for national pavilions. Large halls allow taller builds, but hanging structures follow the venue’s rigging rules.
