An IDRA World Congress exhibition stand has to work for a very specific crowd: utility heads, regulators, plant operators, EPC contractors, membrane and pump makers, financiers and researchers. They come to Riyadh to talk about desalination, reuse and water security, and they move quickly between technical sessions and the exhibition floor. The Concept WLL designs and builds exhibition stands for companies who want to meet that audience properly, with our own design team and production capability in Riyadh.

IDRA World Congress 2026 is the 21st edition of the congress of the International Desalination and Reuse Association. According to the organiser and the Saudi Water Authority, it runs from 1 to 5 November 2026 at the King Faisal Conference Hall, InterContinental Riyadh, hosted by the Saudi Water Authority under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. It is the first time the congress is held in the Kingdom, and the programme combines technical and thematic sessions with exhibition halls.

We are an independent stand contractor. We are not the organiser, an appointed contractor or a partner of the congress. We work for exhibitors, and we build to the exhibitor manual the organiser issues.

What a water and desalination stand needs to do

Water technology is hard to show on a stand. The products are large, the plants are far away, and the value is often in performance data rather than looks. A good desalination exhibition stand design solves that by giving visitors something clear to look at and a comfortable place to talk.

Explain the process quickly

A flow wall, cutaway model or animated screen that shows where your membrane, pump, energy recovery device or digital system sits in the plant. Delegates should understand it in under a minute from the aisle.

Membrane elements, valves, sensors and pump components look good on plinths with focused lighting. We plan weights, plinth heights and power for anything you want to bring.

Engineers and procurement teams want to sit down and go through numbers. Most of our layouts include a meeting table or a semi-closed room, sized to how many conversations you expect at once.

Shell scheme upgrades

Designing around sustainability messages

The 2026 congress theme is about driving water sustainability through innovation, and many exhibitors will talk about lower energy use, brine management, reuse and low-carbon supply. Visitors in this sector are well informed, so a stand that talks about sustainability should also be built with some thought.

We can design stands around a reusable core structure, use modular wall systems where they suit the look, keep printed graphics to what is needed, and plan for storage and reuse at your next water show in the region. We set out in the quote which parts are made to be reused. We do not make carbon or recycling claims on your behalf; if you want to state figures on the stand, they should come from your own team.

Working with the Riyadh venue and exhibitor manual

Every congress issues an exhibitor manual covering build-up and breakdown times, stand height limits, rigging, electrical orders, fire rules and drawing deadlines. We work from that manual once you share it, and prepare the stand drawings and documents the organiser asks for.

Hotel-based conference venues often have tighter access routes, loading windows and floor rules than large exhibition centres. We plan stand components so they can be moved in through the access available, and we schedule fabrication so the stand arrives ready to assemble rather than built on site. Specific venue rules come from the organiser and venue; we do not assume them.

Event production around the congress

Many exhibitors also host something away from the stand during congress week: a customer dinner, a technical briefing, a contract signing or a product launch. We can produce these too, using the same team, so the look of your stand carries through to the event.

Planning timeline for exhibitors

With the congress opening on 1 November 2026, timing matters. As a general guide, a custom stand needs a confirmed space, a brief and a first concept several weeks before build-up, so there is time for revisions, organiser approval and fabrication. Shell scheme upgrades can move faster.

A useful order is: confirm your space and stand type with the organiser, send us the floor plan and products you want to show, approve the 3D concept, submit drawings by the organiser's deadline, then finalise graphics. Late changes to graphics are easy if the stand is designed for them; late structural changes are not, so it pays to settle the layout early.

Brief

You share the floor plan, stand type, products and how many meetings you plan to run. We ask about heavy or powered items early.

Concept and 3D

We send a free 3D concept and refine it with your marketing and technical teams.

Fabrication

The stand is built in our workshop and pre-assembled where needed, so the on-site build is predictable.

Installation

Our crew builds the stand in the venue's build-up window and tests every light, screen and power point.

On-site support

A team member stays available during the congress for small fixes and graphic changes.

Dismantling

We take the stand down in the breakdown window and store reusable parts if you plan to exhibit again.

Are you an official contractor for the IDRA World Congress?

No. The Concept WLL is an independent stand contractor working for exhibitors. We build to the exhibitor manual and submit drawings to the organiser as required.

Can you build a stand for a small shell scheme space?

Yes. We upgrade shell scheme spaces with custom walls, counters, lighting and screens, and we also build custom and island stands on raw space.

Can we show membranes, pumps or other hardware on the stand?

Yes. We plan plinths, lighting, floor loads and power around the items you want to show, and work with your technical staff when they are placed.

Can you also produce a side event or client dinner during the congress?

Yes. We produce briefings, signings and hospitality evenings in Riyadh with staging, AV, lighting and décor.

Can the stand be reused at other water shows?

Yes. We can design a core structure that is stored and rebuilt with new graphics at later shows in Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
