Motor show stand design starts with the car. Every decision, from floor height to ceiling lighting, is about making a vehicle look its best to people standing a few metres away, under hall lighting that is rarely flattering. The Concept WLL designs and builds automotive stands and reveal stages from our production houses in Riyadh and Manama, for car brands, distributors and dealer groups across the GCC.

This page focuses on the physical build: the stand, the platforms and the reveal. For automotive and electric vehicle events in general, and for full product launch events, see the related pages below.

What goes into a motor show stand design

An automotive exhibition stand design has to solve a few problems most stands never face. Cars are heavy, large and reflective. Visitors want to get close, open doors and sit inside. And the brand wants the hero model to stand out from every other car in the hall.

Vehicle zoning

We place hero, supporting and accessory vehicles so each one gets the right amount of space, with clear sightlines from the main aisles.

Floors that carry the load

Raised floors, ramps and platforms built to take vehicle weight, with ramps planned so cars can be driven or pushed into place.

Hospitality and sales

Lounges, configurator stations and meeting areas where interested visitors can sit with a sales advisor after seeing the car.

Brand architecture

Walls, ceilings and graphics that follow the brand's showroom guidelines, built to the detail those guidelines expect.

Car display platforms and turntables

The platform is the car's stage. A good car display platform lifts the vehicle slightly above the floor, frames it with a clean edge and hides any cables.

We build static plinths, illuminated platforms with light lines in the edge, and platforms designed to hold turntables supplied by specialist providers. Surfaces are chosen so they photograph well and stay clean through the show. For electric vehicles, we can add discreet charging or cut-outs to show the battery or chassis.

Car reveal stage design and reveal moments

A reveal is the few seconds when the cover comes off or the lights come up, and everything on the stand has to work at once. Car reveal stage design plans that moment backwards, from the photo the brand wants to the crew cues that make it happen.

We design reveals using several methods, depending on the venue and the brand's style: a traditional silk drop, a car rising or turning on a platform, a curtain or kinetic wall opening, an LED screen parting, or a lighting and sound sequence that brings the car out of darkness. Each one needs rehearsal time, a clear cue list and a reset plan for repeat reveals through the show day.

Lighting cars on an automotive exhibition stand

Lighting cars is a specialist skill. Painted surfaces and glass reflect everything, so bad lighting shows up as hot spots, lines and reflections of the hall ceiling.

We design overhead light fields, often large diffused panels or light boxes above each vehicle, to give even reflections along the body lines. We add accent lighting for wheels and interiors, and control the surrounding brightness so the cars are always the lightest thing on the stand. For press days and reveals, lighting states are programmed so the stand can change mood at the touch of a button.

Guest flow on motor show stands and vehicle reveal events

Motor show stands get crowded quickly, especially on public days. We plan guest flow so people can walk around each car, queue for the hero model without blocking the aisle, and reach the lounge or sales desk without crossing a photo line.

For a vehicle reveal event outside a show, such as a dealer launch or a media preview, we plan arrival, the reveal itself, test-drive or photo zones and the hospitality area as one connected route. We design, build and install in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Jordan, so the same stand or reveal set can travel between markets.

Showing electric vehicles and technology

Electric and connected vehicles have changed what brands want to show. Instead of just the car, many stands now explain batteries, charging, software and range. That brings new elements onto the stand.

We build cut-away display plinths for battery packs and chassis, charging point displays, and interactive screens where visitors can explore features or configure a car. Large LED walls are designed into the ceiling or backwall to show films and live content, and placed so they light the scene without washing out the cars. Where a brand wants a quiet space to explain technology in more depth, we create a small enclosed room within the stand.

Stand sizes and reusable automotive structures

Automotive stands range from a single-car display in a mall or hotel lobby to large island stands at national motor shows with many vehicles, lounges and a stage. The bigger the stand, the more the floor, ceiling and lighting need to be planned together.

Before the show, we share a vehicle move-in plan with your team: which cars arrive first, how they reach their platforms, where protective covers are stored and when the floor is finished around them. After the show, the same plan runs in reverse. Clear timing here protects both the vehicles and the stand finishes, and keeps build-up calm in a busy hall.

Car brands and distributors often take part in several shows and launches a year. We can design floors, platforms, light boxes and walls as reusable kits that rebuild in different shapes, with graphics and finishes refreshed for each model year. We note in the quote which elements are built for reuse and which are made for a single event, so budgets can be planned across a full season.

Automotive exhibition stand design in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has become one of the most active automotive markets in the region, with brands, distributors and dealer groups presenting new models, electric vehicles and after-sales services at exhibitions, mall activations and launch events in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province. An automotive exhibition stand in the Kingdom usually serves several audiences at once: families comparing models, fleet and corporate buyers, and media looking for a strong image of the launch vehicle.

We plan for that mix. Bilingual Arabic and English graphics and vehicle specifications, a comfortable lounge for sales conversations, clear space around each car for photographs, and a reveal moment timed for when the hall is busiest. Venue rules, vehicle entry routes, fuel and battery requirements and build windows come from the organiser and venue, so we read the exhibitor manual first and design to it. If you are planning a stand or launch for a Saudi show, send the event, plot size and number of vehicles and we will propose an approach.

We send a free 3D concept showing vehicle positions, lighting and the reveal idea, then refine it with your team.

Fabrication

Floors, platforms, walls and ceiling elements are built in our own workshop and checked for load and finish.

Installation

Our crew builds the stand, coordinates vehicle move-in with your team and programmes the lighting.

On-site support

We run reveal rehearsals and stay on site through the show for resets, cleaning and small fixes.

Dismantling

Motor show stand design FAQs

What makes motor show stand design different from other exhibition stands?

Cars are heavy, reflective and need space around them. Motor show stands need load-bearing floors and ramps, specialist lighting to avoid bad reflections, and guest flow that lets people walk around each vehicle.

Can you design a car reveal for a motor show?

Yes. We design reveal moments using silk drops, rising or turning platforms, opening walls, LED screens or lighting sequences, and plan rehearsals and resets for repeat reveals.

Do you build car display platforms and turntables?

We build static and illuminated platforms in our workshop, and platforms designed to carry turntables supplied by specialist providers.

Can you follow our brand's showroom guidelines?

Yes. We build walls, ceilings, graphics and finishes to the brand guidelines you share with us, and send them for approval at the 3D stage.

Do you handle vehicle reveal events outside motor shows?

Yes. For dealer launches or media previews we plan the arrival, the reveal, photo or test-drive zones and hospitality as one route. Our product launch events page covers launches more widely.

Do you work outside Saudi Arabia?

Yes. We design, build and install in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE and Jordan.

How quickly will we get a quote?

We reply to quote requests within 24 hours on business days, and the first 3D concept is free.
