Kinetic Installations & Show Control

Bring movement into the story with kinetic AV, moving screens and rotating displays. We design and deliver kinetic environments by integrating scenic fabrication, specialist motion systems, AV and synchronized show control around the venue and approved creative brief.

Motion with a defined purpose and a safe operating envelope

Kinetic installations introduce physical movement into a brand environment: a rotating product platform, a moving screen reveal or a repeatable scenic sequence. They are different from our 6D motion theatres, where visitor seating and ride content are integrated as an attraction. Here the focus is movement of scenic elements, screens and product displays.

Our team develops the concept, fabricates scenic elements and delivers AV integration and production. Motion hardware and controls are specified with specialist suppliers, with a dedicated motion safety review covering mechanism design, verified loads, operating limits and approval responsibilities.

A synchronized show links movement to video, sound and lighting through an agreed cue structure. The design includes independent safety controls for travel limits, public clearances, emergency stops and controlled restart, alongside the creative playback sequence.

Scope & deliverables

Motion concept & sequence

Define what moves, its purpose, viewing angles and sequence. Review a static alternative where motion adds risk without improving the experience.

Moving screen integration

Integrate screen weight, cable routes, movement envelope and sightlines with the selected mechanism and venue structure, using the feasibility review to guide hardware selection.

Rotating platforms & displays

Design rotating product and scenic displays around verified dimensions, loads, visitor clearances and service access.

Scenic & AV integration

Integrate housings, finishes, lighting and content with approved fixing details, movement clearances and service access.

Show cues & rehearsals

Agree cue ownership, timecode or control interfaces and operator responsibilities. Test transitions, reset behaviour and safe failure scenarios.

Safety & handover pack

Prepare the project handover pack with specialist risk assessment and engineering review, supplier documentation, operator briefing and agreed maintenance and inspection responsibilities.

Feasibility comes before a motion proposal

Provide the venue drawings, screen or product dimensions and weights, desired movement, show frequency and visitor positions. We also need available power, permitted attachment points, access routes and installation time. A site survey confirms load capacities where documentation is incomplete.

For permanent kinetic environments, specify expected operating hours, noise constraints, public access and how maintenance staff reach the mechanism. Supplier warranties, inspection intervals, consumables and future content changes are separate scope items.

Our Bahrain HQ and Riyadh production capability support project delivery. Specialist engineering reviews, venue sign-off and applicable authority requirements are scheduled within the installation and commissioning plan.

From brief to handover

  1. 1. Story & site — Define the creative movement and collect site constraints.
  2. 2. Feasibility — Review loads, clearances and mechanism options with specialists.
  3. 3. Responsibilities — Document engineering review, safety controls and approval ownership.
  4. 4. Build & integration — Produce scenic elements and coordinate AV, cabling and cues.
  5. 5. Test & rehearse — Check travel limits, safe stops, reset and show sequence.
  6. 6. Handover — Agree operator training, inspections, ownership and support.

Common project questions

Is this the same as a 6D motion theatre?

No. This scope concerns moving scenic or display elements. Our existing 6D service covers specialist motion seats and simulator attractions.

How are motion systems selected?

We select specialist mechanisms and controls against the required movement, loads, duty cycle and venue conditions, then integrate them with the scenic build, AV and show sequence.

Can every venue accept moving screens?

No. Structure, access, loads, power and public clearances must be assessed before feasibility is confirmed.

Who is responsible for ongoing safety inspections?

The agreement names the owner/operator and specialist inspection requirements. The handover defines the inspection schedule and independent safety-control requirements.
