Khobar Season waterfront activations & concert production
Khobar Season activates the Corniche and city venues of Al Khobar with concerts, family zones and sponsor experiences. We produce waterfront activations, concert staging and LED, and the kiosks and lounges around them.
Corniche sites and sea air
Waterfront plots are long and narrow with public promenades either side, so we plan crowd flow, barrier lines and service access carefully. Humidity and salt need sealed finishes and protected electronics; wind off the Gulf sets structure and LED wind ratings.
Our Eastern Province coverage includes Dammam, Dhahran and Ithra, so season work can share logistics with other projects in the area.
A Khobar waterfront production brief should distinguish a sponsor activation from a promoter-led concert. An activation normally centres on a repeatable visitor interaction, product demonstration or family activity. A concert brings a show sequence, artist technical rider, stage positions and separate backstage requirements. The two may share a site, but their public routes and technical responsibilities need to be drawn clearly. We scope the fabricated environment and technical production around the client's programme, while the promoter and site operator retain their own audience and event responsibilities.
For an allocated Corniche plot, map the public approach, neighbouring uses and service access before developing the scenic layout. A long frontage can attract visitors from several directions, which makes the queue position and exit important. Keep operational storage and technical equipment out of the intended visitor route. Confirm the site's usable boundaries and any requirement to preserve promenade circulation with the responsible operator. A proposed layout is a basis for review, not an assumption that public waterfront space is available for commercial occupation.
Waterfront exposure affects more than the stage roof. Printed graphics, counters, connectors and equipment enclosures all need consideration against moisture, wind and cleaning. Assess the specific location, proposed run and shelter conditions rather than apply one outdoor specification to every Khobar project. Technical designs should address how equipment is protected and where the team can safely reach it. For temporary structures, the relevant reviewers determine the appropriate engineering and operating controls; a scenic concept alone should never be treated as confirmation of structural suitability.
Concert production starts with a coherent technical package. Confirm performance positions, audio coverage, screen content, lighting cues and the promoter's requirements before specifying the stage environment. Separate the public-facing scenic finish from equipment positions, service routes and backstage access. Agree where playback and show control are operated, what rehearsals are needed and how the technical team communicates during the event. Artist booking, overall event security and audience admission belong to their appointed teams; our production scope should interface with them through an agreed programme.
Family and sponsor activations need a different rhythm from a single performance. Define the number of people participating together, the duration of the activity and how staff reset it. A sampling kiosk should have a clear handover point and stock route; a photo installation should leave room for waiting groups; a game should use instructions that are easy to understand in Arabic and English. Include an accessible participation option where practical and avoid making a narrow entrance the only way to experience the brand.
Al Khobar, Dammam and Dhahran can form part of one Eastern Province delivery plan, but each site still needs its own brief. A waterfront activation, an indoor brand presentation and a cultural venue installation will have different access and approval requirements. Reuse the approved brand language and suitable components where it makes sense, while adapting dimensions, lighting and operations to each site. Do not treat an Ithra programme or a neighbouring city's event as a confirmed Khobar Season venue without the organiser's current information.
Khobar Season joined the national calendar in 2025, announced by the Sharqia Development Authority, with the Corniche as its main stage. For brands and agencies in the Eastern Province that means new sponsor plots, concert nights and family zones to fill. We bring activation design, scenic fabrication, staging and LED together, and keep everything working through the season.

Planning a Khobar Season project
Useful inputs: the site on the Corniche or elsewhere, plot dimensions, show or activation schedule, promoter technical rider if a concert, and expected crowd size.
Programme references: visitsaudi.com/en/seasons/al-khobar-season. Season dates are announced by the organiser for each edition.
For a Khobar activation or concert quotation, share the exact proposed location, plot dimensions, schedule and the client or promoter's role. Include audience expectations, technical rider if applicable, sponsor branding, screens, hospitality and kiosk requirements. Identify which services are already appointed and which you need us to price. An itemised scope should separate scenic fabrication, stage and technical production, installation, rehearsals, operating attendance and removal, allowing you to compare the full programme rather than only a headline build price.
Agree access and operational dependencies before committing to a fabrication programme. Ask the operator to confirm unloading, equipment movement, working windows, power arrangements and any documents required for review. Identify the person authorised to approve changes to the scenic look and the person responsible for the technical rider. A coordinated sign-off avoids a late screen position or backstage change making a fabricated element unsuitable. Dates on this service page are not edition announcements; use organiser-confirmed information for bookings and delivery commitments.
Handover should include a walk-through of public routes, backstage interfaces and maintenance access. Test approved content, sound and lighting in the configuration intended for operation, and record who can make adjustments. For longer installations, plan checks and replacement parts for frequently used or exposed components. After the final operating period, sequence dismantling with the operator, protect reusable elements during packing and record site handback. Including that close-out scope at quotation stage helps avoid uncertainty about storage, return transport and final removal.
Local logistics: Al Khobar is the Saudi city closest to our Manama head office, connected by the King Fahd Causeway, and our Riyadh production capability is a day’s drive away. Season programming also reaches Dhahran, where Ithra has hosted season events, and Dammam, so one plan can cover several Eastern Province sites.
How we work with you
- Brief — Share the event type, site or venue, dates if confirmed, audience and objectives.
- Site & rules check — We review access, power, rigging and the organiser or landlord rules that apply to this site.
- Design & proposal — Concept, 3D visuals and an itemised proposal so scope and cost are clear before commitment.
- Production & logistics — Off-site fabrication, technical preparation, transport and crew scheduling planned around the site window.
- Install, operate, dismantle — On-site build, testing, show support and a planned breakdown with the site handed back as agreed.
Frequently asked questions
Who do you work with on season projects?
Sponsor brands, creative and experiential agencies, zone operators and licensees, and entities taking a pavilion or activation inside a season. We work as their design-and-build and production contractor; the season itself is run by its organiser.
When is the next Khobar Season?
Dates are announced by the season organiser for each edition. This page covers our production services and does not list edition dates; check the organiser’s official channels, and the event calendar on this site once dates are confirmed.
Can you provide drones, fireworks, security or artists?
Those are delivered by licensed specialist providers and the promoter. We coordinate our build, rigging and show schedule with them and leave space, power and safety zones for their work in our drawings.
Do you have an office or workshop in this location?
Our head office is in Manama, Bahrain, and we run Saudi projects with production capability in Riyadh. We plan delivery to each location project by project — travelling crews, transport and local suppliers where needed — rather than claiming a local office.
Can crew and equipment come from Bahrain for Khobar projects?
Yes. The King Fahd Causeway links Manama with Al Khobar, so crew and pre-built modules travel by road; we plan customs and temporary-import documents into the programme.
Do you cover Dammam and Dhahran as well as the Khobar Corniche?
Yes. We plan Eastern Province season work across Al Khobar, Dammam and Dhahran, so activations or concert builds at more than one site can share crew and logistics.
