Diriyah Season heritage-sensitive event production

Diriyah’s season programme sits around the At-Turaif UNESCO site, Bujairi Terrace and Wadi Hanifah. We produce events, exhibitions and sponsor spaces there with structures that stand on their own, light the mud-brick architecture gently and leave no trace.

Protecting the place comes first

Mud-brick walls and historic paving cannot take drilled fixings or point loads. We use ballasted bases, protective floor layers, low-heat lighting and cable routes agreed with the site team, and we plan every delivery around pedestrian areas.

Design language matters as much as engineering: finishes, colour and graphics are chosen to sit with Najdi architecture rather than compete with it, with Arabic-first interpretation.

Clients in Diriyah are often cultural bodies, luxury and heritage-minded brands, and agencies running invite-only evenings, exhibitions or sponsor spaces. They need production that reads as part of the place — Najdi proportions, earthy finishes, Arabic-first graphics — while meeting the site team’s rules on loads, fixings, light and access. That combination of heritage sensitivity and full technical production is what we bring.

What we deliver here

Reversible structures & overlay

Free-standing pavilions, stages and seating on ballasted bases, with floor protection over historic surfaces.

Architectural lighting & projection

Low-heat lighting and projection that reveal façades without damaging them.

Pop-ups, kiosks & F&B units

Modular kiosks, retail pods and food units built to the zone operator’s design code, with power, drainage and service access planned in.

VIP, hospitality & backstage

Sponsor majlis lounges, VIP decks, artist and crew backstage fit-outs, green rooms and production offices.

Maintenance during long runs

Daily checks, a planned spares list, repaint and re-skin cycles and an on-call crew so structures, LED and graphics still look right in week eight, not only on opening night.

Heritage & museum displays

Display joinery, interpretation graphics and AV interfaces built around client-approved curatorial content.

Festival production & scenic builds

Entrances, scenic installations, VIP lounges, backstage fit-outs and wayfinding for festival sites.

Galas & VIP events

Award nights, dinners and VIP receptions with staging, lighting, décor and guest management.

Signage & wayfinding

Bilingual wayfinding, entrance branding and site dressing so visitors find their way on large or unfamiliar sites.

AV, LED & lighting

LED walls, projection, sound and lighting specified to the content and space, installed and tested before doors open.

VIP evenings & majlis receptions

Invite-only dinners, brand evenings and majlis receptions with staging, warm lighting, seating and guest flow planned around the heritage setting.

Planning a Diriyah project

Useful inputs: the exact location (At-Turaif surrounds, Bujairi, Wadi Hanifah or another plot), the site authority’s requirements, the guest profile — public, VIP or invite-only — and any artwork or content to be displayed.

Programme references: visitsaudi.com/en/seasons/diriyah-season. Season dates are announced by the organiser for each edition.

Local logistics: Diriyah sits on the north-western edge of Riyadh, so builds prepared with our Riyadh production capability reach site by road the same day. In practice the limits are pedestrian hours, delivery slots and protected surfaces around At-Turaif and Bujairi rather than distance, and we schedule installs accordingly.

How we work with you

  1. Brief — Share the event type, site or venue, dates if confirmed, audience and objectives.
  2. Site & rules check — We review access, power, rigging and the organiser or landlord rules that apply to this site.
  3. Design & proposal — Concept, 3D visuals and an itemised proposal so scope and cost are clear before commitment.
  4. Production & logistics — Off-site fabrication, technical preparation, transport and crew scheduling planned around the site window.
  5. Install, operate, dismantle — On-site build, testing, show support and a planned breakdown with the site handed back as agreed.

Frequently asked questions

Who do you work with on season projects?

Sponsor brands, creative and experiential agencies, zone operators and licensees, and entities taking a pavilion or activation inside a season. We work as their design-and-build and production contractor; the season itself is run by its organiser.

When is the next Diriyah Season?

Dates are announced by the season organiser for each edition. This page covers our production services and does not list edition dates; check the organiser’s official channels, and the event calendar on this site once dates are confirmed.

Can you provide drones, fireworks, security or artists?

Those are delivered by licensed specialist providers and the promoter. We coordinate our build, rigging and show schedule with them and leave space, power and safety zones for their work in our drawings.

Do you have an office or workshop in this location?

Our head office is in Manama, Bahrain, and we run Saudi projects with production capability in Riyadh. We plan delivery to each location project by project — travelling crews, transport and local suppliers where needed — rather than claiming a local office.

Is Diriyah close enough to Riyadh to share crew and logistics?

Yes. Crew, spares and modules can move between Riyadh and Diriyah daily, which keeps maintenance and late changes simple during a long season run.

Can you produce invite-only or VIP evenings in Diriyah?

Yes — dinners, majlis receptions, launches and brand evenings with staging, lighting and guest flow. Protocol and security follow the client’s and the site’s own teams, and we plan our build around them.
