Riyadh Season production & brand activations
Riyadh Season runs for weeks across several zones in the capital, from Boulevard City and Boulevard World to standalone venues. We design, fabricate and maintain sponsor activations, pavilions, kiosks and stage sets for brands, agencies and zone operators taking part.
Built for crowds, night after night
Season zones open in the evening and stay busy late, so an activation is judged on how it handles queues, heat-soaked afternoons before doors open, and constant touch. We design for throughput first: clear entry and exit, a photo moment that does not block circulation, and materials that clean and repair quickly.
Each zone has its own operator, design code, build window and access route for trucks. We plan fabrication off-site in modules sized for those routes, and schedule night installation around live operations where a zone is already open.
A useful Riyadh Season production brief starts with the behaviour the sponsor wants, not a list of decorative features. A visitor might need to try a product, understand a service, join a short challenge or meet a representative. Choose one primary action and design the route around it. The entrance should make that action obvious, while the exit gives people a natural next step without sending them back through the queue. A beautiful pavilion that cannot explain its purpose is difficult for both visitors and brand staff to use.
Boulevard City, Boulevard World and other Riyadh locations are planning contexts, not interchangeable plots. For the specific space allocated to your brand, establish the boundaries, nearby attractions, approach directions and any protected circulation route. A corner activation may need two inviting frontages; a narrow plot may work better with an activity running along its length. Draw the staff position and waiting area as carefully as the public-facing feature. These decisions let the design respond to the location rather than simply shrink a generic exhibition booth.
Arabic and English messaging should be planned together while the layout is still flexible. Agree the approved brand terminology, reading order and maximum text length for screens and printed panels. Short instructions are particularly important where visitors join a game or collect a sample. Test text against the actual viewing distance, the brightness of nearby displays and the time a person has to read it. Staff prompts, accessible controls and a non-digital alternative can help visitors take part without making the experience dependent on a phone.
Interactive production needs a clear relationship between the physical build and the content. Before fabrication, confirm screen orientation, sensor positions, speaker placement, service access and how the activity resets for the next visitor. A camera moment should have enough room for a group without blocking the route. A game needs an agreed session length and a recoverable starting state. If the activation collects personal information, the brand should approve the consent wording, destination and retention arrangements; the build and technical operation then support that agreed process.
Long-run scenic work benefits from a maintenance plan agreed alongside the design. Identify surfaces likely to be touched, doors opened repeatedly and graphic panels that may change during the campaign. Use replaceable components where practical and keep access to drivers, connections and playback equipment available. Specify who performs daily checks, who can approve a repair and which spare finishes or graphics are required. This is a planned service scope, not a guarantee that every activation can operate without interruption.
For a sponsor or agency, a Riyadh Season activation is a short, intense campaign: weeks of evening footfall, content that has to work in Arabic and English, and a plot that must pass the zone operator’s design review before anyone builds. We take the brief from concept to handover as one contractor — design, 3D, engineering drawings, fabrication, LED and lighting, install, daily maintenance and dismantle — so the brand team deals with one schedule and one point of contact.
What we deliver here
Sponsor pavilions & activations
Branded pavilions, interactive games, sampling areas and photo moments sized for season footfall.
Staging, LED, projection & lighting
Stage sets, LED façades, projection mapping and architectural lighting for zone landmarks and show moments.
Pop-ups, kiosks & F&B units
Modular kiosks, retail pods and food units built to the zone operator’s design code, with power, drainage and service access planned in.
VIP, hospitality & backstage
Sponsor majlis lounges, VIP decks, artist and crew backstage fit-outs, green rooms and production offices.
Maintenance during long runs
Daily checks, a planned spares list, repaint and re-skin cycles and an on-call crew so structures, LED and graphics still look right in week eight, not only on opening night.
Brand activations
Sponsor zones, pop-ups and interactive brand spaces built for public crowds and repeat daily operation.
AV, LED & lighting
LED walls, projection, sound and lighting specified to the content and space, installed and tested before doors open.
Kiosks & mall activations
Branded kiosks, pop-up units and mall atrium activations designed for mall rules and daily trading.
Concert production
Stage, LED, lighting and audio production planning plus scenic and branded elements for promoter-led concerts.
Signage & wayfinding
Bilingual wayfinding, entrance branding and site dressing so visitors find their way on large or unfamiliar sites.
Visitor journey and activation reset
Entry, participation, photo moments and exit coordinated with staff positions, accessible circulation and a repeatable reset between sessions.
Campaign changeover planning
Replaceable graphic panels, content versions and service access considered before fabrication for sponsors updating messages during a long run.
Zone operator design submissions
Plans, elevations, structural and electrical drawings and material samples prepared to the zone’s design code, so the activation clears review before fabrication starts.
Planning a Riyadh Season project
Useful inputs: the zone and plot you have been allocated, the operator’s design code and build window, expected daily footfall, any ticketed or free-entry element, content and screen needs, and whether the build must be re-skinned mid-season.
Programme references: riyadhseason.sa · visitsaudi.com/en/saudi-calendar. Edition dates and zone lists change each year and are announced by the organiser.
For a Riyadh sponsor pavilion quotation, share the allocated plot drawing, operator guidance, campaign objective and proposed operating period. Include the number of simultaneous participants, staff positions, hospitality needs, product storage and any screen content. If a design is already approved, send the approval conditions as well as the visual. These inputs help separate the core fabrication price from optional technology, repeated graphic changes and ongoing technical attendance, so the brand can compare proposals on the same basis.
Keep an approval register with one named decision-maker for brand content and another for site requirements. Layout, structure, finishes, electrical loads and interactive content may need different reviews. Fabrication should follow an agreed design freeze, with changes recorded against cost and programme. Screen files should be tested before installation rather than first checked on opening night. The operator remains responsible for its own site permissions; production planning should identify those dependencies instead of treating a submitted drawing as permission to begin work.
Installation and handover should be planned around the actual zone schedule. Confirm vehicle access, unloading, holding areas, permitted working times and the sequence for joining modules. At handover, walk the visitor route, check lighting and playback, verify doors and service hatches, and review the staff reset procedure. Document outstanding items and the agreed response process. When the campaign ends, plan removal, reusable-element packing and site handback as part of the same brief rather than leaving dismantling to an unspecified final-day arrangement.
Local logistics: Boulevard City and BLVD World sit in Hittin in north Riyadh, while other zones and cultural programmes — Al Suwaidi Park among them — are spread across the city. Our Riyadh production capability keeps fabrication, crew and spares inside the capital, so night installs, mid-season re-skins and repairs are planned around each zone’s truck access and operating hours.
How we work with you
- Brief — Share the event type, site or venue, dates if confirmed, audience and objectives.
- Site & rules check — We review access, power, rigging and the organiser or landlord rules that apply to this site.

Frequently asked questions
Who do you work with on season projects?
Sponsor brands, creative and experiential agencies, zone operators and licensees, and entities taking a pavilion or activation inside a season. We work as their design-and-build and production contractor; the season itself is run by its organiser.
When is the next Riyadh Season?
Dates are announced by the season organiser for each edition. This page covers our production services and does not list edition dates; check the organiser’s official channels, and the event calendar on this site once dates are confirmed.
Can you provide drones, fireworks, security or artists?
Those are delivered by licensed specialist providers and the promoter. We coordinate our build, rigging and show schedule with them and leave space, power and safety zones for their work in our drawings.
Can you build inside Boulevard City or Boulevard World?
Yes, for clients who hold space there. We work to that zone’s design code and access rules; see our venue guides for planning notes.
Do you have an office or workshop in this location?
Our head office is in Manama, Bahrain, and we run Saudi projects with production capability in Riyadh. We plan delivery to each location project by project — travelling crews, transport and local suppliers where needed — rather than claiming a local office.
How early should a sponsor brief a Riyadh Season activation?
As soon as the plot, design code and build window are known. Custom steelwork, LED and imported finishes set the programme, so we confirm a realistic schedule — design approval, fabrication and install — in the proposal.
Do you build in Riyadh Season zones outside Boulevard?
Yes. We work in any zone or venue where our client holds space, including park-based cultural programmes and standalone venues, following that operator’s access, power and safety rules.
